Everyone at Reynolds & Stoner Orthodontics is very proud of our patient Anthony Pfohl who has published his first book. His future looks very bright and we look forward to reading many more. When we spoke to Anthony, this is what he had to say.
“I wrote Redbloom’s Legacy for two main reasons: one, because I had a good story that I wanted to have written and read, and two because I wished to gain experience in the fields of writing and publishing. I’ve enjoyed writing novels for as long as I can remember, and over the last few years I’ve looked at it as a serious career choice; so when I heard about National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org <http://nanowrimo.org> ), a contest where you attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November, I immediately jumped at the chance and signed up.
“When I completed the novel at the end of November, I found myself with a rough manuscript and nothing to do with it. It wasn’t long before I heard about createspace.com <http://createspace.com> , a self-publishing website that guides you through the process step by step and allows you to build and sell your book through amazon.com <amazon.com> . Eager to learn more about publishing, I spent the next months tinkering with my book and making it real. Finally, on July 25th, 2011, my sixteenth birthday, I succeeded in having Redbloom’s Legacy, my first book, published.”
